Most cancers have "awareness" months where high profile campaigns help to raise funds for research or just general awareness of the particular cancer. Womb cancer however, doesn't seem to have its own month here in the UK; over in the US its generally in September so we at Womb Cancer Support UK have decided to follow suit and declare September "Womb Cancer Awareness month"!
We are planning alsorts of things - from an auction of handmade items and original artwork to handing out leaflets at various locations around the country.
We are pleased to see the The Eve Appeal have designated September as
"Gynaecology Awareness Month" and will be raising awareness of all gynaecological cancers! http://www.eveappeal.org.uk
We don't want to tread on anyones toes, but we want to make sure that the womb cancer voice is heard loud and clear.
